In a show of gratitude and preparation for their upcoming international performance, the CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company recently paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Florante P. Ibarra, Head of the Cultural Affairs Office and Dean of the College of Education at Central Luzon State University.
The CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company together with Associate Professor Adonis Voltaire M. Villanueva will represent the Philippines in the prestigious International Cultural & Arts Festival (ICAF), to be held at Sungai Melaka, Malaysia, from October 21-28, 2024. This international event is set to gather performers from various cultures across the globe, giving the CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company the opportunity to showcase the richness of Filipino heritage through dance.
During the visit, Dr. Ibarra expressed his pride in the groupโs achievements and emphasized the importance of cultural preservation and global representation. He encouraged the dancers to bring not only their best performances but also the spirit of Filipino artistry to an international audience. He also acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the group in preparing for such a prestigious event, underscoring the significance of promoting Filipino culture on a global stage.
